This show was a lot of fun, we were able to get through the whole show
sticking with the theme of songs about people. Making it better was a
last minute visit by the Ambassador (otherwise know as Peter Brown)
who has recently switched allegiances and came to tell us about it.
In talks with the Ambassador, I realized that "songs about people" has
a very broad definition, so the final criteria was that the song had
to be about someone who is known outside of that song and could be a
real person or fictional character, here are some examples to make it
clearer:
Bad Bad Leroy Brown - No, because the character only exits in the song
Bobby Peru - Yes, a fictional movie character known outside of the song
We might have to revist this theme as there were still songs we hadn't
played after the 2 hours was up. See if you know who all the songs are
about.
For this week's show (April 7) I'm doing something that helped me stay
awake back in "the day" when I was on late Friday nights: Kicking Songs,
ie. songs that make you feel like turning up the stereo and dance around.
Although, I generally don't have a problem staying up till 8:00 pm
these days, I've had a long week recovering from a volleyball tournament
last week and having a project due tomorrow.
Send along any suggestions you might have.
